William Gutierrez

I helped form and bring together Thrive Wellness Center in 2008, creating a vision initiated by Filiz, my wife and partner. Together, we embarked on a journey that has manifested itself into what today is a new facility that houses six treatment rooms, a yoga/teaching studio and administrative offices. As Executive Director my role encompasses multiple functions such as marketing, new business development, finance/accounting, insurance billing, operational and administrative processes.

Prior to Thrive Wellness Center, I served in other entrepreneurial endeavors including the commercial real estate industry for five years and the recruiting industry for 14 years. I began my career in the accounting industry for KPMG and served in the industry for five years.

I earned a dual bachelor degree in Accounting and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Boca Raton, FL. Recently I completed an Executive Certificate Program at FAU as a Certified Medical Business Manager (CMBM) to expand my knowledge of the Healthcare industry. I have served on a variety of community organizations such as the FAU National Alumni Association, Beacon Council, SHRM, National Society of Hispanic MBA’s, Fort Lauderdale Chamber, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Boys & Girls Club of S. Florida, and the Children’s Diagnostics & Treatment Center.

I am originally from Puerto Rico; have been married for over 20 years; and have two daughters and five grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my family, sports, travel, cooking and any human development endeavors.
